Summer Campaign Meetup

For our summer social event this year Sally Watson, former Cycle Campaign chair, will be give a presentation on the best of this year’s Cycle County Active County conference, which is taking place in Oxfordshire in early July. The annual conference (previously known as Cycle City when held in Newcastle in 2015) is supported by the Department for Transport as its annual active travel summit and billed as Europe’s largest annual gathering of cycling and walking professionals.
Sally will be sharing some of the highlights of this year’s conference and talking about the latest thinking from Active Travel England and other agencies and campaigns from around the country.
The talk will take place on the 19th July at The Trent House, 1-2 Leazes Ln, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4QT. The Trent House is 5 minutes’ walk from Haymarket and St James Metro stations and Haymarket Bus Station, and there’s plenty of railings outside for locking bikes to.
The event starts at 6:30pm, is free to attend for Campaign members, and your first glass of wine, pint of beer or soft drink is free.
