Campaign Training Day

CTC is currently running both the Space for Cycling and the Road Justice campaigns. This day will provide workshops on both these campaigns, boosting the voice, awareness and knowledge for safer cycling, better cities and justice systems. You will learn about how to champion and advocate improved cycling infrastructure and fight for a justice system that sends out fair and clear messages asking for a better deal for vulnerable road users including cyclists. Northumbria University – design project

Katja spoke to Northumbria University design students who are working on a cycling-related project this semester. Northumbria University (Industrial Design) November 2013 from Katsdekker Anthony Forsyth, the course organiser, has worked for Copenhagen in Denmark and Malmö in Sweden, and he talked with incredible knowledge and lucidity talked about cycling and just how different Newcastle is to these cities. The Acorn Road planning group heard an excellent presentation on traffic emissions and air quality by Professor Margaret Bell CBE, Newcastle University, on 18 July 2013 at Jesmond Legion. The past, present and future of Acorn Road

A whopping fifty people attended the meeting on Acorn Road at the Cricket Club in Jesmond on the 23rd May. The meeting, organised by or partners Transition Jesmond as part of the Jesmond Community Festival, wanted to promote public discussion about the proposals which have been developed by the Acorn Road improvement group over the last year or so.
