Cycling equity – An evening with Dr Rachel Aldred

Dr Rachel Aldred will be in Newcastle on Tuesday 12 December to talk about new analysis of England’s Active People Survey looking at demographic inequalities in cycling, including figures specifically for Newcastle. Which groups are under-represented in cycling, and why is this? Can we change it, and how? Dr Aldred is a Reader in Transport (University of Westminster) and specialises in researching cycling. Her work has covered injuries, near misses, cycling equity, and cycling experiences, using a range of research methods.
