Ousburn Trust September newsletter- cycling special (3 September 2013)

Newcastle Cycling Campaign

The Newcastle Cycling Campaign came to life in September 2011 as a community group lobbying for better cycling conditions in and around Newcastle. We support people-friendly environments and have worked in the Ouseburn to preserve and further enhance the liveability of this fabulous area.

Our campaigning priorities include having all roads with speeds of 30mph and higher fitted with cycle provision so that everybody can cycle safely and enjoy using their bikes for everyday journeys. We also campaign for bicycles to be allowed on Metro trains.

If you share and support our values and priorities and would like to see some physical changes on the ground, please join the campaign – it’s free and simple, you can even do it online:
https://newcycling.org/join and add your voice to the campaign, for a more inclusive and people-centred Newcastle. We have members meeting every quarter, the next one is on Tuesday 10th September at the Cycle Hub, Ouseburn – and we’ll have a December gathering too, watch this space.
