Streets for People Jesmond – Ride or Stride session
March 19, 2016 @ 10:30 - 12:45
Newcastle Council is collecting information for its Streets for People Jesmond project. The aim of the project is to make Jesmond a nicer place to live for people of all ages and to support active travel. They would like local people to steer this investment.
You can find out more about it and have your say here: https://jesmond.commonplace.is
As part of Streets for People you can take part in a ‘Ride or Stride’ session on Saturday 19th March. This will be an hour long walk or cycle (depending on your preference) around Jesmond to record your experience of getting around the area. Both groups (riders and striders) are invited to Jesmond Library after the sessions to compare notes and share a buffet lunch.
The programme and timescale are:
10.30 – 10.45 – Coffee and registration at Jesmond Library, St George’s Terrace.
10.45 – 11.00 – Route and safety briefing
11.00 – 12 noon – Ride or Stride around Jesmond
12.00 – 12.45 – Lunch and review back at Jesmond Library, St George’s Terrace.
