1Core Continued

We have written to relevant officers to seek clarification on the 1CORE (now LDF) process and methodology, attached below. There’s some serious green belt sprawling proposed which warrants more justification and proof than currently provided. Why is this important to the Newcastle Cycling Campaign? We are an interest group concerned with transport, infrastructure, active travel, and its relation to public space and provision of local services.   Click here to read Seeking clarification

Road Safety and Stricter Liability

We received a disappointing written reply from Mike Penning MP re: stricter liability and EDM 1393, attached below. Thanks goes to Catherine McKinnell MP who wrote to the minister, Norman Baker MP initially, on behalf of the campaign. We will forward the letter to the national groups concerned with road safety, to seek advice as we believe there are some inconsistencies in the letter. Meanwhile, it is still important that you write to your MP demanding fairer treatment for vulnerable road users, template [doc] below.

And I think this is one of those things which we got to get right.” Youtube BBC1 Look North Youtube Claire’s cut Photos in our flickr group Full press release to follow soon.
