Cycle Manifesto Adopted

Our cycle manifesto has been unanimously accepted by full council through a motion put forward by Cllr Henri Murison. Cllr Nick Forbes, leader of the council, blogs about it here. This really does mean that every Newcastle Councillor, your Councillor, is now a Cycling Councillor! Why not write to your Councillor to highlight your cycle plights? How? Before the election, we contacted Newcastle’s councillor candidates and asked their support of the pragmatic Cycling Manifesto. It reads: 7th April 2011 A CYCLING MANIFESTO FOR NEWCASTLE We are writing to all candidates standing for election in Newcastle to introduce ourselves and seek your support for better cycling provision in Newcastle.
